Money in the Bank Predictions

Here are my predictions for the fourth annual  Money in the Bank Pay Per View

Money in the Bank Kick Off (YouTube Preshow) Tag Team Championship
The Shield should retain here. I've seen many grumbling that they are on the pre show; it's a business decision. WWE want more people to watch the preshows so by improving the format (the panel idea works really well) and sticking a popular match on is also going to help viewing figures.

The All Stars Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a WWE Championship Contract

My pick here is RVD; why would such a highly promoted return end in a loss? Daniel Bryan or Randy Orton are also good choices but I just can't see them beating RVD to retrieve the case.

Money in the Bank Ladder match for a World Heavyweight Championship Contract

I think this is much tougher to predict since there is a case for most of the participants to win it (not you Jack Swagger). Dean Ambrose is the popular choice but with the Wyatt's arrival I see The Shield being involved in a programe with them over the rest of the summer; Ambrose will get his chance at next years MitB. Fandango is an outside bet but WrestlingbyTinks' money is on Wade Barrett. If not now for Barrett, when?

World Heavyweight Championship

With Ricardo suspended and no Big E or AJ there are no outside factors to consider here. While I'd love to see Dolph take the title back I think, unlike Christian and Randy Orton's work in 2011, flip flopping the belt each month would further hurt both men. Look for Del Rio to retain but perhaps by getting intentionally counted out or DQ'd.

WWE Championship

Mark Henry has certainly given us something to think about over the past few weeks. My instict says that Cena retains and while that's my prediction, don't rule out a surprise from Henry, and perhaps another on the night cash in.

Divas Championship

Surely AJ has to retain here? Kaitlyn's caught her with a spear twice this week so if AJ can be quick with a side step then the danger could be avoided. While this feud is baffling at times it is good to see that the belt is being defended in a feud not just some random match up.

Intercontinental Championship

It's way too soon to take the title from Axel. I hope to see WWE use him to build on an interesting mid card division by giving him a long run with the title and taking on all challengers. My biggest gripe with the roster is that there are too many 'main eventers' and not enough making up the mid card which often leads to long title runs with few defenses.

Ryback made an astonishing move on Monday night when he called of his own match saying he could no longer continue due to a knee injury; he then faked the injury again on Friday night to pick up a win. Will the now humanised 'monster' be able to change his luck at PPV? I doubt it, but expect to see him explode with rage and attack the victorious Y2J and put Chris out of action until later in the year.

Predictions overview

The Shield to retain the Tag Team Titles by pinfall victory
RVD to win WWE Championship MitB

Dolph to win by DQ or Countout - Del Rio retains the World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena to retain the WWE Championship by pinfall
